Mabahong Lipunan

Sino ito
Na sa kapangyarihan ay sugapa?
Lahat-lahat ay gagawin niya
Ultimo pagkitil buhay ng kapwa

Sino ito
Na isa raw relihiyosa?
Kunwaring sa Itaaas nakatingala
Ngunit pailalim naman kung tumira

Sino ito
Na kayamana’y ipinagyayabang sa madla?
Akala mo’y pinaghirapan niya
Ang lahat ay nakaw lang pala

Sino ito
Na may mukhang kaaya-aya?
Subalit tulad ng relihiyosa
'Pag talikod ay may halimaw na mukha

Sino ito
Na ubod ng talas ang mga salita?
Ngunit 'pag nakikita kaniyang mga biktima
Umuurong lagi matabil niyang dila

Walang labang nilalang, iniiwang basta

Sino ako
Na kailanma'y 'di mo makikita?
Kumakalam ang aking sikmura
Oras na upang sa "trono" ako'y pumunta

Lahat ng ito’y pawang isip-katha
Mapaglarong imahinasyong walang magawa
Ako'y hindi na dapat patulan pa
Kung malawak naman ang pang-unawa

‘Di ko nais ika’y mabahala
Ipagpaumanhin aking isip na malaya
‘Pagkat lahat ng ito’y nagawa
Habang sa inidoro ako ay abala

The Letter

Dear Optimist, Pessimist and Realist,

While you were arguing about the glass of water if it's half empty or half full, I drank it.

Sincerly,
The Opportunist

Unfortunately, they all received the letter and replied.

Dear Opportunist,

I figured.

From,
The Pessimist

Dear Opportunist,

I'm so glad you're not thirsty anymore.

Yours truly,
The Optimist

Dear Opportunist,

Well, the glass is empty now.

Confusion

Look before you leap.He who hesitates is lost.
Good things come to those who wait. The early bird gets the worm.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.Don't beat your head against a stone wall.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.Out of sight, out of mind. familiarity breeds contempt.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.Don't cross the bridge till you come to it.
Two heads are better than one.Paddle your own canoe.
Haste makes waste.Time waits for no man.
You're never too old to learn. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
A word to the wise is sufficient.Talk is cheap.
It's better to be safe than sorry.Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.Beware of Greeks bearing gifts.
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.Nice guys finish last.
Hitch your wagon to a star.Don't bite off more than you can chew.
Many hands make light work.Too many cooks spoil the broth.
Don't judge a book by its cover.Clothes make the man.
The squeaking wheel gets the grease.Silence is golden.
Saved by faith, apart from works.Faith without works is dead.
The pen is mightier than the sword.Actions speak louder than words
Don't throw out the baby with the bathwaterOne bad apple spoils the bunch.
You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Another Hand

In an Economics class...

Professor: What assumption is used to analyze the relationship between two variables while the other factors are held unchanged?

Mister smart guy stood up.

Smart Guy: Ceterus Paribus.

Professor: Right.

Smart guy sat back down.

Professor: Why do you think it is an essential part to the predictive purpose of scientific inquiry?

Nobody dared to answer.

Professor: Anyone?

Smart guy raised his hand.

Professor: Another hand, please.

Smart guy raised his other hand.
